Ever feel like you’re talking at your list instead of to them?

Side note: If you’re feeling this way, then you’re probably right!

And to validate this feeling, look no further than your email open rates.

You don’t have to be a genius to understand that low open rates mean that your subscribers aren’t as engaged with your content.

But know this too, that…

Email communication although virtual (and informative) doesn’t have to be impersonal.

It should feel as though you’re having a genuine, heartfelt conversation with your subscribers.

And done right, your emails should answer your subscribers #1 question:

WIIFM??

Because if it isn’t about them…they’re tuning you out.

Just like they tune out emails from Banana Republic or Gap.

So how do you make it about them?

Just ask your subscribers – via a survey. (see, it’s that simple!)

But how do you pull this off when you’re reviving your relationship with your list?

In episode #5  of the Digital Marketing Success radio, I am piggybacking on last week’s theme; how to woo your subscribers if you have been MIA.

In this episode, I explain how to write an email to your list asking them to complete a survey.

Don’t spend hours creating content that your audience doesn’t want to consume.

I know you can do this!
